The Day Begins After the mists have risen at dawn, the town of Bundanoon becomes Brigadoon for a day (even the name on the station changes to Brigadoon!) The main street is closed and there is a bustle of activity as people prepare for the big parade. Visitors from all over Australia are making their way to Brigadoon (over 10,000 of them).

The Brigadoon Bundanoon Highland Gathering is in its 38th year and has developed into the largest Scottish Festival in the Southern Hemisphere. The Gathering commences each year at 0930 with a parade through the streets of Bundanoon. The parade consists of around 20 pipe bands, decorated floats and marching Clan members.
